About National Prevention Strategy

The National Prevention Strategy Division is a division created within the new NACS structure and is headed by the Deputy Director of National Prevention Strategy. The division is one of the core divisions of the organization which includes the Policy Planning Unit, Research and Coordination Unit and the Intelligence, Cross – Cutting Issues and Monitoring & Evaluation Unit. The division has staff strength of 9 and coordinates key program activities of the response by providing technical support and advice to the management regarding policy directives, program planning and management and budget.

 NAC has implemented a major restructure to streamline and reorganize its core responsibility to combat the spread of HIV and AIDS in the country. The Division of National Prevention Strategy is created under the new structure that is being implemented in 2011.
